This past summer,
we had the pleasure of hosting a group of Korean sommelier lauréats and participants of the Korean national sommelier competition « Best Sommelier in French Wines » for a 3-day wine trip through the vineyards of France.
After arrival to Lyon, the group explored the Condrieu appellation of the northern Rhône, where they were received by our local winegrower partners Yves Cuilleron and Lionel Faury. In Gigondas, the group explored the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains, birthplace of our Séries Limitées Gigondas wine, accompanied by Jean-Pierre Vallade. They also visited Château La Croix des Pins. The group continued their journey in Collioure, where they visited the Chapelle Notre Dame de la Salette and Maison Desclaux. Before heading back home, they stopped in Bordeaux to visit the Castel & Frères facilities.
During the course of the trip, our guests had the chance to taste our Séries Limitées range as well as other Maison Castel wines, while chatting with Maison Castel winemakers Cédric Jenin and Thomas Lancray. We hope to see them back in France soon!
